Last weekend was a wonderful weekend of ministry at Lancaster Baptist Church, as we kicked off our Christmas season in grand fashion. Our church choir and orchestra did a tremendous job with the Christmas musical entitled “A Time for Christmas.” It has been a joy for me to watch the Lord develop the lives of our music director, Brother Cary Schmidt, and his assistant, Brother Matt McMorris. Although there would be some overlap in the numbers that were counted, there were over ten thousand people in the various services on Saturday and Sunday.
What a tremendous blessing it was to see dozens of people accepting Christ as Saviour in both the Saturday and Sunday night presentations of the Gospel. It was my privilege to preach in both settings, and it is always a thrill to sense the Holy Spirit working in people’s lives.
Obviously I love this time of year. It is a great time to lift up the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and to celebrate His goodness. May God richly bless you as you keep Christ at the center of this wonderful season!
