New Mobile Outreach App

August 13, 2011 by Paul Chappell

For many years, I have kept an up-to-date “prospect list” of soulwinning contacts. This list helps me follow up on people I’ve met out door knocking as well as seeing new Christians baptized, added to the church, and grounded through discipleship.

I was thrilled last summer when one of the young men on our staff caught a vision for creating an electronic prospect list. This makes it much easier to keep the list organized and updated. Over the past year, our entire staff has been using the beta version of this program, and we have found it invaluable!

Just a few weeks ago, we made this program available as an app for others through the iTunes store. It is simply called Outreach Mobile, and it comes with a set of incredibly helpful features.

For each person you add to this electronic list, you can easily:

  • View a map to their home
  • Call by phone or send an email
  • Record each contact and spiritual decision

And for each person, there are many fields available to record relevant information, such as:

  • Date and place you first met
  • Multiple phone numbers and contact information
  • Names and ages of other members of the family
  • Additional notes and info

Outreach Mobile was released just a few weeks ago, and already we are receiving encouraging feedback from users. This $0.99 app is currently available via iTunes for the iPhone and iPad. (We look to be adding Android and desktop versions in the coming months.)

I pray this app is a useful tool in equipping God’s people to effective soulwinning and discipleship.

  2. Praise the LORD. This looks to be a great app. Another sign that I need to get an ipad or even an iphone(I have a blackberry). Waiting for the release of the desktop version until I can get me an ipad. Thanks for all you do for the cause of Christ! I greatly appreciate how your church shares with other churches these great things they design/develope. Glory to God!

  3. I was looking for something to help remind me of my lack of visits with my teen class. This is an encouraging app and has already alerted me to stay in touch with the teens. Looking forward in using the tool in Klamath Falls, OR.
