After nine months of waiting, what a joy it was to welcome our newest granddaughter, Leighton Olivia Chappell, to our family! Born December 1 at 4:53 a.m., Leighton weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20 and 3/4 inches long.
Larry and Ashley are doing great (as proud as you can imagine), and Terrie and I are overjoyed (prouder than you can imagine). Especially, we are all thankful for God’s grace in His care over both Ashley and Leighton and for this safe delivery.
Leighton’s birth is a special miracle in that Larry’s doctor told him a few years ago that, due to side effects of chemotherapy, he and Ashley may not be able to have children.
Every life is a gift, and we thank the Lord for this precious gift to our family.
